Signs and decor
Dust it, keep it out of the weather, and refresh the finish once a year.
Signs and small decor carry a hardwearing oil finish that asks for very little.
Indoors
Dust with a dry or barely damp cloth. Keep it away from the stove and out of direct sun, which fades any wood over time.
Outdoors
Our signs are finished for a covered porch, not open weather. Under a roof and out of the rain they will go gray slowly and gracefully. Left in the sun and rain they will gray fast and may check. If you want a sign for open weather, ask us before you order and we will finish it for that.
Once a year
Wipe the piece down and rub in a thin coat of the same oil we finished it with, or any furniture oil you have. Let it sit, then buff off the excess.
